THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU!!! To EVERYONE who came out to Phoenix and made SUPER 'GATE 08 so AMAZING! I'm working as fast as I can to get all the pics and clips online. If you have any you would like to share, please do! We'd love to see any newspaper clippings or television segments you find from the reporters who came out this weekend. I'll link them up in the Newsroom page. Hope you all had as much fun as I did! Karen Here's the pics: Can't get the slideshow to show up here (I think there's too many pictures!!!) so you're gonna have to click over to the Sharpcast album. There you can view the slideshow, comment, download, order and add your own photos. Hope you all enjoy! Click here....
And the winner is... After an amazing competition that absolutely blew the bibs off anyone lucky enough to get a taste, Tailgater's BBQ Party walked away witht the honor of being named Grand Champion of the First Annual Blacktop's Best Invitational! Kingsford Kirk, Barbeque Bob, Raider Ron, Rotisserie Ron, Raider Jerry, and the rest of the crew brought some big game down from Oakland on a mission to prove that the Raider Nation is unbeatable when it comes to tailgating. It was no easy win, as their spread went up against the culinary creativity of Dallas' Bart Beaudry, the wild flavors and colorful personalities of Muck & Woody from Green Bay, and the legendary "beans that changed my life" from Redskins fan Pat "Big Grin" Murphy! But it was the total show from Tailgater's BBQ Party, which included their mouthwatering meats hot off the massive Grillzilla, tents and tables decorated all in silver and black, the essential Raider facepainters and, oh yeah... did we mention the hot tub?

with Jay, The Tailgate Guy So what's Jay up to this week? Well, he's on a whirlwind media tour, spreading the word on morning news shows in cities across the country. Check out the segment on Good Day Tampa, where he's also scouting a location for next year's party: Super 'Gate II!
Conference: Indy to Las Vegas -- It was slooooowwwww going through the snowy Rocky Mountains, but once I got to Vegas we hit the ground running. I hooked up with my Blacktop Babe and Dallas diehards Bart & Lisa Beaudry to check out what was new at the 2nd Annual Tailgating Trade Show. We had a blast meeting / catching up with all the pla-yas, and spreading the Gospel of Super 'Gate. Of course, when the official fun wound down, we cranked up our own tailgate party in the UTV right there on the Las Vegas Strip! Next stop, Arizona! Divisional: San Diego to Indy -- Gettin' my kicks on Route 66 as I take the UTV out to it's first tailgate party in Indianapolis! Mark, Goose, and the rest of the Brew Crew are making room in their lot for my monster, and I'm sure it's gonna be a great 'gate, as always. Some of my friends from Newmar will be coming down to check out the UTV in action, and I'm looking forward to meeting Phyllis and her sisters from San Diego, who saw me on TV last week and wanted to join the party! We'll be LIVE in the lot with the legendary Dick Wolfsie from WISH-TV at 7-9am! And, look for me before gametime on WXIN FOX. Wildcard: Seattle to San Diego -- With one killer mountain pass in between! Spent a day snowed in on Grants Pass in Oregon, but it was worth it to see my my Seahawks take one step closer to AZ, baby! This week I'm in San Diego, spreading the word about Super 'Gate 08 to the Charger faithful. Look for me on KUSI at 8:00am and KGTV at 10:30am. We want to see all you die-hard tailgaters from every team, near or far, out there in Phoenix for the first Super Bowl of Tailgating! That's why for the next few weeks I'll be out on the road in my Newmar Allstar UTV (Ultimate Tailgate Vehicle) RV doing media interviews and tailgating along the way. My new ride is so SICK - you guys have to see this 43' RV with a rear tailgate kitchen and 4 TVs! It's awesome! Check my website YourTailgateParty.com to find out where you can see me on TV next and where you can hook up with me and tailgate together. See you on the Road to Super Gate 08!!! |

Super Bowl Sunday: For people wanting to come out to Super 'Gate on Sunday only, you're gonna miss out on all the fun, but if that's what you really want to do I guess it's all right with us. But you'll be sorry ;) If we have Standard Sites still available, we'll be happy to sell them to you, though the price will not be prorated. So you might as well just call in sick and come out for all 4 days! Beyond that, we will have regular car spaces available for parking or tailgating Day of Game. Here's the scoop: Day Of Game (DOG) Parking
· Parking: If you’ve reserved a site, and plan to have friends join you on Super Bowl Sunday, that’s cool with us! Each Site will be given one of the spaces at the end of the aisles for car parking only. No tailgating will be allowed in these spaces. Additional spaces will be available for purchase DOG as space permits.
· Tailgating: If you look at the Site you will notice empty spaces that have been left open between the clusters of RV sites. These sites will be held open until Sunday morning, when they will be opened up for DOG tailgaters. Each car space will cost $30, but you’ll probably need to buy two if you’re setting up a tailgate. (One to park, one to party…)
Keep in mind that the DOG tailgate spots will be scattered throughout the lot on groups of 2. If you have a group that is going to be wanting more than 2 spaces together, you might want to consider reserving a Standard Site, which is basically 4 parking spaces. You’ll pay a bit more, but you’ll have your space reserved and waiting for you! |
